Giving comes from the heart. Tourists do perform charitable acts through giving back to the community. This way even the local community will learn to appreciate and love their environment.
If we conserve it, we shall all benefit from it. As Ganyana Safaris we always engage with the local communities in every place we take our clients to. In December 2021, we had a client from Switzerland who was really kind hearted, she donated two laptops to Great Lakes Peace Center. This is an NGO is located in Kasese District. The act of charity that she did will forever remain in their hearts. It was a surprise visit and no one expected it at that moment.
This happened during the trying time of the pandemic when schools were closed and part of the Ugandan economic was still under lockdown. What you see as a small gift will make a huge difference in someone else’s life.
Ganyana Safaris offers some charity to some NGO’s and local communities in Entebbe. We do this by taking a given percentage of our profit monthly to these people. In other words, we buy for them items to use in their daily lives.
In conclusion, whenever our clients have time to spare before going back to their home countries, we always encourage them to visit these people.
